Venue Island, is one of a small island located in the south of District Buruway the area only about 15 ha. The island has white sand beaches and beautiful coral reefs.
As the name implies, is the leatherback turtle nesting niches and several species of endemic and migrant wildlife. White sand beach is where leatherback turtle and nesting Maleo bird. Creatures such as Pelikan migrants from Australia every year periodically present in the island to just avoid the extreme season in his native habitat and sometimes makes this island as a niche to proliferate.
In the daytime, many bats hanging from the trees growing on Casuarina beach of this island to rest waiting for nightfall, again on the move looking for food. In the middle there is a lagoon island (rock pool), is a habitat for some marine life.
Marine waters around the islands have coral reefs with different shapes and different colors, different kinds of marine life associated with coral reefs raises a stunning panorama of the sea floor.
Venue Island can be reached by sea with an average travel time 3-5 hours from the capital city of Kaimana; 1 to 1.5 hours from the capital District Buruway and 20-30 minutes from Island Adi using long Boat / Speed Boat.
