Petra, Jordan

Described by UNESCO as "one of the most precious cultural wealth of human cultural heritage, Petra is an archaeological site on the slopes of Mount Hor. This is one of the new wonders of the world and famous for its rock-cut architecture.

The site is hidden until 1812 when it was discovered by a Swiss explorer. Said to have been prepared by God for the Jews. Petra was developed under the auspices of the Roman empire but the rapid decline began with the Arab trade is taken elsewhere. Then the earthquake caused much damage. Furthermore, many tourists visit this place is special only to see the ruins of this beautiful city.
