Closed one year, The Statue of Liberty Will Renovated

United States Government will renovate the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island (Ellis Island) in late October. It informed Secretary of of Interior Ken Selazar, as reported by CNN on Tuesday (16/08/2011).

This project will be funded through a combination of funding the National Park Service
programs and park concessions franchise. According to Jane Athern, a spokesman said the Statue of Liberty National Monument National Park Rangers will still be preserved to give a tour of the basic history of the Statue of Liberty to visitors.
